PHILADELPHIA — Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders remains day to day after the oblique strain he sustained early in the Aug. 13 joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles . The injury, which happened during individual drills early in practice, certain throws a short-term wrench into the rookie fifth-year draft pick's development.

The injury also creates more questions at the quarterback position behind the front-runner for the starting job, Joe Flacco. Kenny Pickett remains limited with a hamstring injury, while Dillon Gabriel only got back to being a full practice participant Aug. 11 after his own hamstring issue.
