ALLEN PARK, Michigan — Miami Dolphins second-year outside linebacker Chop Robinson is heading right back onto the practice field Thursday in another joint session with the Detroit Lions at Meijer Performance Center after Wednesday’s injury scare .

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Robinson suffered a hit to the rib and announced his standout pass rusher’s quick return to practice ahead of Thursday drills.

“We had to make sure we were responsible and we didn’t have any fractures or anything like that,” McDaniel said. “He’s definitely sore, but he’ll be practicing (Thursday).

“Antyime a player’s down, the best-case scenario could possibly be they could participate in practice without risk of further injury.”
