Two people with Legionnaires' disease died in June and July at Allegria Village, a retirement community in Dearborn.

The cause of the deaths is under investigation, though Wayne County health leaders said legionella bacteria was detected in the water system at Allegria Village.

Allegria Village says it has "completed a chemical sanitization of the affected water system" and is monitoring the situation.

Legionella bacteria was identified in the water system of Allegria Village, a senior-living community in Dearborn, where investigators from the Wayne County Department of Health, Human & Veterans Services now are working to determine the cause of death for two residents who had Legionnaires' disease and died in June and July.
