L.A. County Fire updates
Multiple evacuation warnings were issued Thursday in response to the King Fire in the Tejon Pass north of Pyramid Lake.
As of 6 a.m., the fire, which broke out around 1 a.m., had grown to 490 acres and was just 5% contained, according to Cal Fire.
The fire briefly shut down multiple lanes of the 5 Freeway early Thursday. By sunrise, those lanes had reopened, but the off- and on-ramps in both directions were closed at Smokey Bear Road and Vista del Lago. Old Ridge Route Road from Lake Hughes to Templin was also closed, according to the L.A. County Fire Department.
