Streaming service HBO Max said it intends to crackdown on the practice of password sharing – essentially letting users outside your home log on to your account to view for free- starting Sept. 1.

According to Fortune, HBO Max subscribers will be given the option to pay an additional $8 per month fee to share a password. The fee has technically existed for a while, the report said, but enforcement will step up Sept. 1.

HBO Max owner Warner Bros. Discovery said it has been working for several months to determine who were legitimate users. Now, “we are putting the net in the right place,” WBD streaming chief JB Pettett said.
