Twin Falls native Gustavo Alonso Lopez, a flamenco guitarist and composer from Walla Walla, Washington, will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 8 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 160 Ninth Ave. E.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and there is a suggested donation of $15.
In 2017, Lopez received a Fulbright Fellowship to Spain, where he trained with top guitarists and created and still creates his own music-borrowing concepts from classical music and jazz, blurring the lines between composition and improvisation.
He has released three albums, the second of which included an international team of collaborators from the United States, Italy and Spain. As well, Lopez has been the recipient of two composer-in-residence grants.
