Officers investigating a reported firearms incident in Wester Hailes last month have arrested and charged a 25-year-old man.
He has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
Emergency services were called Hailesland Gardens, Edinburgh around 3.40pm on Thursday 24 July amid reports of a gun being fired.
A 23-year-old man was found injured at the scene. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries to his arm.
Police said that the accused man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday, 15 August, 2025.
