Dollar General has issued a voluntary recall across 46 different states following concerns of glass exposure in certain jars of its Clover Valley Instant Coffee.

On Aug. 11, the chain published a voluntary recall notice on its website , explaining that a customer's report of the potential presence of glass in the product triggered the recall.

"Dollar General is actively investigating the source of the glass contamination and apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this product issue," the notice reads.

Dollar General says that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is aware of the recall.
