Police are at Miller Industries in Hermitage on Thursday morning, according to an employee at the facility. While it is unclear why police are there, but a caller told 21 News that some employees are being escorted out of the facility.

21 News spoke with the human resources office at the Hermitage location, which said there was no concern for people in the area, and they had no comment at this time on the situation.

Miller Industries, a Tennessee-based company, released a statement Thursday that the company would be reducing its workforce by approximately 150 employees. The company manufactures heavy-duty towing and recovery equipment, according to its website.
