Search engine giant Google announced earlier this week that it will start allowing users to customize their Google news experience by manually designating which sources they prefer to see more of. The new feature is called “Preferred Sources.”

Users will be able to add trusted and/or preferred sources to a list, for example your local newspaper’s website or your favorite blogs. Those sources will then appear more often in Google’s “Top stories” carousel and will also appear in a dedicated “From your sources” section.

Google has started rolling out the Preferred Sources feature in the US and India, and as of this writing haven’t explicitly said when (or if) the feature will be made available to the rest of the world.
