Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou says Tawanda Maswanhise’s contract extension is ‘perfect’ for a player who is keen to learn and grow at the club. ‌

Zimbabwean Maswanhise has added a year onto his deal, keeping him at Fir Park until summer 2027, with the club holding the option of a further year. ‌

Maswanhise, 22, has impressed this season and he’s scored four goals already, having also done well last season after arriving from Leicester City. ‌

Boss Askou said: “It’s very positive. He is a player that came here a year ago from one of the bigger academies in England, and he’s done really well.
