BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Bluefield man is facing multiple felony charges after police say he forced his way into a woman’s home, threatened her with a knife, and damaged her vehicle during a domestic incident early Thursday morning.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Mercer County Magistrate Court, Sgt. H.D. Browning of the Bluefield Police Department responded to a residence on Warren Street around 1:38 a.m. on August 7 after a 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance involving a knife.

When officers arrived, they located the suspect, 42-year-old William Marrs, on nearby Hardy Street and detained him. Police say the man was visibly intoxicated, with slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol.
