SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - WNDU.com is counting down the days until the Notre Dame football team begins its 2025 season against the Miami Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium. We’re providing bits of information and insight about the team and the game every day until the season begins.

The Fighting Irish had a full team scrimmage last Sunday and they are scheduled to have another big scrimmage this weekend. There is some speculation that coach Marcus Freeman may name his starting quarterback after that scrimmage, but it’s just speculation at this point.

Pete Sampson of the Athletic had a social media post where he listed the starting defensive players during last weekend’s scrimmage. He did not post anything about the starting offense.

On the defensive line it was Joshua Burnham and Boubac
