NEW YORK — Yankees manager Aaron Boone didn’t use Paul Goldschmidt as a pinch hitter off the bench in Wednesday’s loss to the Twins because the first baseman is hurt.

Goldschmidt suffered a low-grade right knee sprain on Tuesday night.
