AUSTIN, Texas — The man accused of shooting three people in a North Austin Target parking lot on Monday allegedly made a bizarre confession .

Less than an hour after the initial reports of the shooting, police found 32-year-old Ethan Nieneker naked and holding a Bible. He was Tazed, then taken into custody.

Police say after the shootings outside the Target, Nieneker stole a gray Toyota 4-Runner and sped away from the parking lot. At around 2:20 p.m., Nieneker allegedly "repeatedly assaulted" the driver of a water truck on MoPac Expressway and chased him with a pistol.

Police then say the 4-Runner collided with a Volkswagen and landed on top of an Infiniti SUV. Nieneker allegedly assaulted the Volkswagen driver and stole their vehicle.
