Startling, newly released video shows the moment cops shot a deranged mass shooter who killed three people and wounded three others outside of a Nevada casino last month.

The heart-racing body-cam footage, published Tuesday by the Reno Police Department , shows officers draw their guns and take out 26-year-old Dakota Hawver after he opened fire on police as they pulled into the Grand Sierra Resort parking lot on July 28.

“Put the gun down!” one Reno cop screams, firing several shots at the suspect as bullets hit a police cruiser in the nerve-wracking exchange. 4
