ROCHELLE, Ill. (WTVO) — The City of Rochelle celebrated the groundbreaking of an expansion of its Intermodal Transload Center on Thursday.
According to the city, the expansion comes in response to increased demand for rail-to-truck transloading services. Opened in 2020, the hub has become a vital part of the region's logistics infrastructure.
"Today’s expansion of the Rochelle Intermodal Transload Center is a testament to our city’s commitment to economic growth and regional connectivity," said Rochelle Mayor John Bearrows. "We are proud to be a hub where industries of all sizes can thrive."
