DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - The Beach House is alerting residents about a scam targeting members of the food truck community.

The restaurant said on Facebook Thursday that it will host Local by the Lake on Oct. 3 in partnership with the Empowerment Opportunity Center.

The Beach House shared that it will be the sole food provider for the event.

Food truck owners contacted for participation in the event are urged to disregard the invitation, as no other vendors will be featured.
