ATLANTIC CITY — Drivers will soon no longer have to dodge potholes on Atlantic Avenue as "all roads are clear" to complete a long-anticipated paving project, Mayor Marty Small Sr. said Thursday.
"In government, sometimes things get in the way that we can't control, but its important we keep fighting the good fight on behalf of the residents of Atlantic City," Small said during a news conference to announce $17.3 million in funding for repaving Atlantic Avenue and other improvements. "We could've given up on this project, but this is more proof that the Small administration is bullish on its infrastructure."
Of the $17.3 million, $10.3 million is coming from the federal government, while the other $7 million was provided by eight grants the resort acquired, according to Jim
