TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Bond was denied Thursday for a woman who was arrested Wednesday in connection to the drowning death of a 2-year-old in Tallahassee.
Raymona Ford, 24, was charged with murder and taken into custody following a “months-long investigation that determined the child’s drowning was a result of foul play,” Tallahassee Police wrote in a press release Wednesday.
The 24-year-old’s arrest comes nearly three months after police responded to a call at the Magnolia Terrace Apartments regarding “a child who had reportedly drowned in a bathtub,” the police department said.
The day the incident transpired, officers said emergency responders attempted to save the 2-year-old’s life before transporting the young child to a local hospital in critical condition, per TPD.
