Santander has introduced a significant change to 11 bank accounts – leaving thousands of customers financially worse off. The banking giant slashed interest rates across 11 of its savings products on August 11. ‌

The Easy Access Saver (Issue 26 and 27) has witnessed rates tumble from 1.3% to 1.2%, whilst the Easy Access Isa (Issue 22 and 23) has dropped from 1.3% to 1.2%. Interest on the Help to Buy Isa will also be reduced from 2.45% to 2.35%, Santander confirmed. ‌

The Junior Isa rate has been trimmed from 2.8% to 2.7%, with children's accounts equally affected. Interest on a Flexible Saver for Kids now stands at 1.95%, down from 2.0
