AMES — In the first week of the season, Iowa State football is hoping to lean on its spring and fall camp workouts ― and maybe the luck of the Irish.

The Cyclones ― ranked No. 21 in the USA Today Coaches Poll ― will take on No. 20 Kansas State in a Week 0 matchup, and it's fair to say that this season opener will be an international affair.

Iowa State and the Wildcats will face off in Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. CT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
