DEXTER -- A Dexter man has been charged with assaulting his infant.
Maine State Police Lt. Aaron Turcotte says on August 7th the Dexter Police Department received a report of suspected abuse of a 7- month- old child.
According to Turcotte the infant was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The Maine State Police major crimes unit was requested to lead the investigation.
On Wednesday, the victim’s father, 23-year-old Kolby Drake of Dexter was arrested.
He is being charged with aggravated assault, assault and domestic violence assault.
He is being held at the Penobscot County jail.
