CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed after a crash in part of the Midlands early Thursday.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the area of Midway Road and Woodstork Trail in Calhoun County. SCHP said a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria heading south on Midway Road went off the right side of the road and overturned.

The driver was the only person inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
