SHELDON, Iowa ( KIWA ) - Students at a Northwest Iowa school district have just been given another week of summer.
KIWA is reporting construction continues at the Sheldon High School, and Superintendent Cory Myer says the new high school building is progressing well and several areas are looking great, but a few sections will not be ready in time for the start of the school year.
Classes for Sheldon High School students are now expected to start on the day after Labor Day, Tuesday, Sept. 2. However, school at the other buildings, Sheldon East Elementary and Sheldon Middle School, will start as scheduled, on Monday, Aug. 25.
