LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - A recent Michigan State University study found that print-focused activities are more effective than digital ones in helping preschoolers learn to read.
Researchers studied 1,000 children and their parents to explore the methods families use to support early literacy.
They discovered that the vast majority of parents incorporate digital media in some form to teach their children reading skills.
However, many of these digital tools are not very interactive, often limited to activities like watching videos.
