JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - Prosecuting Attorney Kelsey Guernsey and Sheriff Gary Schuette have announced that Lenard Hugall has been charged in connection with a homicide case dating back four decades.

The investigation began in 1984 in Summit Township, when a 13-year-old girl was reported missing and was never seen again.

Over the years, the case remained active, ultimately leading to charges being filed against Hugall for his alleged involvement in her disappearance.

He is now facing charges of first-degree felony murder and second-degree murder.

Hugall is currently located in Florida but will be extradited to Jackson County, where he will be arraigned in the 12th District Court.
