A woman shot dead by police in the parking lot of an Ocoee shopping plaza on Sunday drove into officers in an attempt to flee, surveillance video presented to reporters on Thursday shows.

Ocoee police Chief Vincent Ogburn said two officers were searching for the vehicle, a silver BMW SUV that had been reported stolen, and found it in a parking in front of a Publix store on Ocoee Apopka Road and West Road. At that same time, Stacie Guerrero, the driver, was returning to the car as a store employee who allegedly caught her stealing merchandise followed her.

Footage shared by Ogburn showed Guerrero speaking with officers before trying to back out of her parking spot as they moved to get her out of the BMW. The SUV then lurched forward toward the officers, one of whom opened fire.
