The 2025 Python Challenge removed a record 294 invasive Burmese pythons from Florida ecosystems. The winner, Taylor Stanberry, removed 60 Burmese pythons and took home a $10,000 prize.
The 10-day competition had 934 participants from 30 states and Canada.
Other notable winners included:
— Donna Kalil, who won $2,500 prize for winning the pro division with 56 pythons.
— Michael Marousky, who won $1,000 for catching the longest python, a 15-foot, 11-inch beast.
— Jonathan Miller, who won $1,000 for the longest python in the military division, with a snake of 11 feet, 2 inches.
Stanberry’s Instagram account features her handling a wide range of snakes, including venomous eastern coral snakes and rattlesnakes.
