PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The man convicted of killing one Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper and injuring another along a West Valley freeway in 2018 is scheduled to be sentenced on Thursday afternoon.

Isaac Damon King, 27, is set to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. to learn his fate for the shooting death of AZDPS Trooper Tyler Edenhofer.

The sentence comes seven years after the incident that led to Trooper Edenhofer’s death on July 25, 2018. Around 10:15 p.m. that night, several 911 callers reported that a man was walking in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near Dysart Road in Avondale, throwing rocks at passing vehicles.
