PORTAGE, Wis. -- A Portage man who prosecutors said drove away from a fatal crash in May 2024 pleaded guilty Wednesday, online court records show.

Keegin Neveln, 27, pleaded no contest to a felony charge of hit-and-run involving death. Charges of knowingly operating while revoked and second-degree reckless homicide were dismissed but read in.

Prosecutors said Neveln was a driver in a May 2024 crash at the intersection of Muskrat Road and Malisch Road in the Town of Lewiston. Kayla Mcclenithan, 21, or rural Portage was found dead at the scene of the crash. She was a passenger in another vehicle involved in the crash.
