MADISON, Wis. -- The $5 Food Taste Jamboree, which was postponed last Sunday due to severe weather, will now be held on Aug. 17 the Madison Black Chamber of Commerce announced.

The event, which features dishes from Black-owned restaurants and food vendors around Madison, was meant to kick off Madison Black Restaurant Week. Now, it will effectively serve as a wrap-up event for the week.

" We’re positively optimistic to reschedule the $5 Food Taste Jamboree such that the community can enjoy delicious tastings from various vendors," Black Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Camille Carter said. " This means a lot to them."

The rescheduled event will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Madison Labor Temple, 1602 South Park Street. As the name suggests, you can enjoy all the food on off
