Green Bay's Conservation Corps, the local chapter of AmeriCorps, secured funding for another year.

The funding is for less time than typical, and less money than previous grants have given.

The Green Bay chapter of AmeriCorps secured a grant to continue running, though for less time and in a lesser capacity than had been hoped as funding shrinks and the nation whipsaws on the issue of allocating federal money.

The city received an email Aug. 5 from the Wisconsin Department of Administration notifying it of an AmeriCorps grant award of $395,162 for one fiscal year between Sept. 1 and Aug. 31, 2026.
