The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is now investigating the death of an infant who died over the weekend in Bradley County.

It happened on Saturday, August 9 at a home on Oakland Trail.

Details are limited at this time.

On Tuesday, August 12, a Bradley County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) spokesperson confirmed the investigation to Local 3, saying that information was limited because of a minor being involved.

On August 14m the BCSO confirmed that the case has been turned over to the TBI for further investigation.

The cause of death and the child's name have not been released.

It’s unclear if any charges are pending at this time.
