LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - University of Nebraska System President Dr. Jeffrey Gold will receive a 15% performance-based merit pay of his base salary after a Board of Regents vote on Thursday.

The Board of Regents voted 10-2, with Regents Jim Scheer and Kathy Wilmot voting no, to the $159,385.95 raise for Dr. Gold. The agenda showed Dr. Gold received a more than 97% performance score for fiscal year 2024-25, making him eligible to receive 100% of the merit pay pool.

The raise is one of the “ key contractual terms ” included in a five-year contract with a base salary of $1,062,573 for Gold.
