AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is starting with a chance of rain and storms across Central Texas. Following a stormy Friday that saw a 60 mph wind gust recorded at the Austin airport, Saturday brings more scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Rain chances are highest in the Hill Country, west of Austin, where Fredericksburg and Mason have a 40% chance of rain. Areas around Austin and Granger see a slightly lower 30% chance, while Giddings and the Coastal Plains to the east have a 20% chance.

Due to the rain, parts of Central Texas are under a slight risk of flooding. The Hill Country, including Mason, Fredericksburg and Llano, is under a level 2, or "slight," flood risk, while the rest of the area is under a level 1, "marginal," flood risk.
