CF Montreal Director of Soccer Corey Wray has left the franchise, the club announced in a terse statement Thursday.
Wray’s departure comes three weeks after CF Montreal pledged a rebuild in an open letter to fans.
The club says managing directors Luca Saputo and Simone Saputo, and president and CEO Gabriel Gervais will continue to lead its sporting decisions.
Wray, who was hired in July 2024, had been tasked with working closely with the club’s technical staff as a consultant for Montreal’s “sporting strategy” before becoming Director of Soccer in an organizational reshuffling last November.
A graduate of Brock University’s sports management program, Wray began his career with Toronto FC in 2006 as the club’s first-ever intern, working his way up to manager of team operations (2012-14)
