Most reports out of Halas Hall, from what was a shorts and shells practice, were that the Chicago Bears offense looked pretty good for a second consecutive day. While yesterday’s miscues from the offense got most of the headlines, it was an overall positive day for the unit. Today, the defense had its moments for sure, but Caleb Williams and the number one offense stepped up again as they look to ready themselves for Friday’s joint practice with the Buffalo Bills. The Bears and Bill play on Sunday night in their second preseason contest.
Caleb connected with several receivers, but fellow second-year pro Rome Odunze was the one who stood out today. As rookies, Caleb and Rome weren’t always on the same page, but these two are too talented and work too hard not to see some sophomore synergy.
