MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — The streets around West Virginia University’s Morgantown campus turned into a parade of SUVs, minivans and pickup trucks Thursday as thousands of students began moving into residence halls, marking the start of the university’s annual Welcome Week and the coming fall semester.

“Move-in is one of the biggest events of our year, and we want it to be as smooth and welcoming as possible,” said Shauna Johnson, WVU’s director of communications. “All these students are on the verge of something, and all I see right now is potential.
