Nottingham Forest are closing in on the transfer for Man City midfielder James McAtee.

Manchester City midfielder James McAtee is close to signing for Nottingham Forest , with an agreement having been reached between the two sides.

McAtee was part of Manchester City’s first-team squad last season, playing 26 games in total, scoring seven goals.

The midfielder has been extensively linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium, with German side Eintracht Frankfurt among the clubs interested. But it seems that Forest have won the race.

The club have agreed a fee of around £30 million with City for the 22-year-old. Our sister title the Manchester Evening News reports that there is a buyback clause and a sell on clause included in the deal.
