The Ohio Democratic Party’s Rural Caucus has elected new leadership as the Party continues to expand its presence in rural Ohio. Newly elected Rural Caucus leadership includes Christopher Gibbs, Chair; Jordan Horstman, Vice Chair; and Troy Scott, Secretary.

The Rural Caucus was formed in 2023 to support Democratic values in rural communities, identify, discuss, and address rural issues, and accurately represent the needs of rural Democrats at all levels.

“The priorities and core values of rural Ohioans have been ignored for far too long, and vote totals reflect that,” said new Caucus Chair Christopher Gibbs. “No longer will the traditional rural Ohio Democratic values of honesty, integrity, hard work, service, and dedication to community be disregarded.”
