Canada Post won't be making deliveries in Parksville, Qualicum Beach or Nanoose Bay for the day after a red service alert was issued due to poor air quality caused by wildfires. There will be no regular collection during red alerts.

Other communities, including Lantzville, Nanaimo and Port Alberni are on yellow service alerts, meaning Canada Post will do their best to continue deliveries but there may be delays.

Canada Post says the alerts will be lifted once conditions improve and it is safe for its employees to do so.
