The future of Mason McTavish has been a storyline all summer as the landscape of his long term fit in Anaheim has been questioned. The 22 year old forward has been a part of trade rumors and speculation this offseason as he is due a new deal with interest around the league increasing the longer time passes without a new deal.

For Anaheim Ducks fans rest assured as NHL insider Frank Seravalli seems confident the emerging star forward will extend his stay in Anaheim after all. He does not see McTavish as an offer sheet candidate despite the past trade talks and expects we'll see a bridge deal extension signed in the not too distant future.
