The wait for high school football in Alabama is only seven days away with the AHSAA Kickoff Classic game between Pike Road and Prattville scheduled for 7 p.m., Aug. 21 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. Fyffe will take on Maplesville at 7 p.m., Aug. 22 to conclude the classic.
The matchup between Pike Road and Prattville will feature some of Alabama's most consistent coaches when it comes to winning.
Granger Shook is entering his third year with Pike Road, having compiled a 21-7 record with the Patriots including consecutive semifinal appearances in Class 6A. Bobby Carr comes to Prattville after coaching Carver-Montgomery in 2024 with 256 career wins as a head coach.
