BALTIMORE (WBAL & AP) —

All options are on the table when it comes to redistricting in Maryland, state leaders said.

A national battle over redistricting maps entered a new phase in California , where Gov. Gavin Newsom announced his plan to introduce partisan congressional maps. A special election is scheduled for Nov. 4.

While the drafts have not been released, Newsom said they will counter the maps under proposal in Texas .

Earlier this week, Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson, D-District 46, hinted that a similar battle could be waged in Maryland.

Speaking Thursday on WBAL NewsRadio, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore doubled down on that notion, saying the state is considering all options.
