The Chicago Cubs traded for Kyle Tucker last offseason, and after he has put up another strong season, he is still primed to be a free agent in the winter, barring a late-season extension.
R.J. Anderson of CBS Sports projects the lefty to be the third outfielder to receive a deal of $40 million or more annually, joining Juan Soto and Aaron Judge.
Tucker has been one of the steadiest bats in the league for the last five seasons, including four consecutive All-Star appearances. Although Tucker has not led the league in any category outside of RBIs in 2023, he has received MVP votes in three separate seasons and has a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger already in his trophy case.
Tucker has hit 30 home runs twice and has flashed his power despite his numbers being down this season; he is still
