Walmart expands employee discount

(CNN)– Walmart workers are getting a new perk, lower grocery bills.

The company announced it’s expanding the number of products that are eligible for employee discounts.

That includes previously-excluded items like milk, meat, frozen pizza, and pasta.

Now, 10% employee discounts will apply for nearly all grocery products.

Officials say extending the price benefits for non-clearance items has been a long-time request from staffers.

More than one-and-a-half million people are employed by Walmart in the U.S.
