CARLISLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Concerned citizens reached out to us about a rough set of railroad tracks in Carlisle.
With the railroad tracks being closed on State Road 58, drivers have to take an alternative route. Drivers have been rerouting to the tracks on East Hackett Street. The tracks on Hackett Street are a double track — one is level, and the other sits up on a small hill. Several semis have gotten stuck on the tracks over the past few weeks.
Town Board President in Carlisle David Watkins, said he spoke with CSX and they said the "grain elevator" owns that portion of the tracks.
