SAGINAW, MI -- A 42-year-old drug dealer was sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison after being convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Federal prosecutors announced Keino Hughes was sentenced to 151 months in prison on Aug. 14, according to a news release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Michigan.

Hughes pleaded guilty to one count of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, according to the release.

The Bay Area Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on the man’s residence and recovered cocaine, two firearms, two digital scales and more than $17,000 in cash, according to the release.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms conducted the investigation in partnership with Michigan State Police BAYANET.
