Garrett Nussmeier’s 2025 season at LSU was not always a sure thing. With his dad, Doug Nussmeier, being the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints, Garrett was in a great spot to be a top-five NFL draft pick. Plus, he already showed what he could do in 2024, throwing for 4,052 yards and keeping it consistent all year. But despite all that, he decided to come back for another season at LSU. “I’ve always wanted to win a national championship here,” he said.
